Activities
Our activities are targeted towards the following local
groups: Youths, women, private sector, armed forces & police,
professional labour force, religious, traditional practitioners,
children in and out of school.
In achieving our vision and mission, NNNGO
works in:
Identifying
From 1992 till date NNNGO continued to
identify various civil society groups from
community based organizations to larger
networks and thematic groups across the 36
states of the federation including Abuja. By
the end of 2005 and beginning of 2006 over
700 NGOs were identified and by 30th April
2007 a total of 1,850 NGOs were identified.
Registering
Being a membership based organization; the
Network’s membership base has grown from 60
in 1992 to over 800 member organizations
working on various development issues, our
membership serves as our strength.
Coordinating
In providing leadership for the sector NNNGO
has worked with various development partners
and National Governments to coordinate civil
society activities in Nigeria with the
purpose of giving them a voice and providing
sector leadership within a conducive
environment.
CollaborationWe enjoy the support of
international organisations for the execution of projects by the
national body and our member organisations. These organisations
include; USAID, SFH, WHO, The British High Commission, Ford
Foundation, UNICEF, World Bank, USIS, British Council, Department for
International Development (DFID), UNESCO, UNIC, The Friedrich Ebert
Foundation & Goethe Institute.
In addition to our ongoing programmes NNNGO has successfully executed
numerous projects.
