Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria in
collaboration with MTN Foundation
held its Closing & Certificate Award
Ceremony of the 7th Genetic
Counselling Training Course on
Sickle Cell Disorder at the National
Sickle Cell Centre, Idi-Araba,
Surulere. Sickle Cell anaemia is the
commonest hereditary disease in the
world. By virtue of its population,
Nigeria has the largest number of
sufferers. 40 million Nigerians (one
in every four) are healthy carriers
of the trait.
